  Thing du Jour: Stretchy Beaded Belt

  This belt might be the easiest possible way to turn a blah outfit, like a plain T-shirt and jeans, into something that feels special -- especially if I'm having the kind of day when buckling a belt feels like too much work. (Stretchy = no buckle!) Also, whenever I wear it, people say, "I like your belt." And that's nice, no matter what kind of day I'm having.

  Thing du Jour: Madras Wedges

  Comfy, not-too-high, fabric wedges are my favorite summer shoe. They look cute with capris or dresses, plus they flatter your leg/ankle area, PLUS you can walk a mile in them. These ones are plaid. Therefore, they win.
